Sir,

With reference to our interview of this morning,

I have the honour to request that you will be kind enough to take what steps you may consider proper to obtain permission for this University to build on the piece of land lying between the road which rune from the old Filter Beds to the New Pumping Station and the Nullah which follows approximately the same direction and passes under Pokfulam Road •

I gathered from our conversation that this area is not very accurately marked on any existing plan. It is a narrow strip, running up beside the nullah and would probably be of little use to any one excent the University. As however we contemplate building no less than three schools for Physiology, Tropical Medicine and Pathology on the adjoining ground in the immediate future, we might find the space very serviceable either for the schools themselves or for annexes

and outhouses.
